Where marketers learn on Reddit, and the separate set of subreddits where their clients ask for help.
The largest marketing subreddit is r/marketing with about 2.0 million members. r/DigitalMarketing (465K), r/digital_marketing (377K) and r/PPC (284K) are the next tier. All four ban promotion, so use them to learn and to be visible, and look elsewhere for clients.
| Subreddit | Members | Good for |

Marketers' subreddits vs clients' subreddits
r/marketing is full of marketers. Your clients are in r/smallbusiness, r/Entrepreneur and industry subreddits, posting things like "is it worth paying an agency for Google Ads" or "my Facebook ads stopped working". Those are the posts worth answering.
- Answer in depth, publicly. A good comment is your portfolio.
- Never open with a DM. Reply in the thread and let them come to your profile.
- Keep a clean profile with what you do and one link. That is where the conversion happens.
Leadhoot finds the posts where business owners ask for marketing help and scores each one for buying intent.
