Twitter search operators: the complete list for X

Every operator X search still understands, what it does and a query you can copy. Or skip the syntax and build it with the free tool.
Short answer: Twitter search operators are words you type into X search to filter results, like from:username, "exact phrase", -exclude, min_faves:100 or since:2026-10-01. They work in the search bar on web and in the app, and they stack. The X advanced search builder writes them for you.

- Unhappy competitor users: @competitor (cancel OR "switching from" OR expensive) -filter:retweets
- Your brand without your own posts: yourbrand -from:yourbrand
- Popular advice in your niche: "cold email" min_faves:200
- Launches to engage with: ("just launched" OR "launching today") filter:links lang:en
Sort by Latest, not Top, when you are looking for people to help. A buyer's question rarely has many likes. To be told when a new post matches instead of re-running the search, see Twitter keyword alerts. Searching Threads instead? Threads has no operators, so use the Threads search tool.
Leadhoot runs your best searches on X, Threads and Reddit around the clock and alerts you when a buyer posts.
