X (Twitter) Advanced Search Builder

What this tells you

Fill in the boxes and this builds the X search query for you, operators and all, then opens it on x.com sorted by Latest. It works on mobile too, where the X app has no advanced search form. Use it to find posts like "anyone recommend a CRM" from the last week, with replies and retweets filtered out.

Search on X

Opens x.com in a new tab. X search needs you to be logged in. Nothing you type here is stored.

The formula

"exact phrase" · word1 OR word2 · -exclude · #hashtag · from:user · to:user · @mention · min_faves:10 · min_retweets:5 · min_replies:3 · lang:en · since:2026-10-01 · until:2026-10-15 · filter:links · -filter:replies · -filter:retweets · filter:media

How to read the result

  • Operators stack: every one you add narrows the results. Start with the phrase, then add exclusions until the noise is gone.
  • Latest shows every match in order, Top shows what X thinks is popular. For finding leads, Latest is the one you want: a buyer asking a question rarely has many likes.
  • since: and until: take dates in YYYY-MM-DD and use UTC. until: is exclusive, so until:2026-10-15 stops at the end of the 14th.
  • X search needs you to be logged in. The query works the same in the app search bar if you paste it there.

Frequently asked questions

On desktop, search anything on x.com, click the three dots next to the search bar and pick Advanced search. On mobile there is no form, so type the operators into the search bar, or use this builder, which writes them for you and opens the result.

The form does not exist in the X app, but the operators do. Paste a query like "need a designer" -filter:replies lang:en into the app's search bar and it filters the same way.

Use from:username, for example from:levelsio pricing. Add since: and until: dates to search an exact window of their history.

Add since:YYYY-MM-DD and until:YYYY-MM-DD to any query. Dates are in UTC and until: is exclusive.

X has no keyword alerts. You can save a search and re-check it, or use a monitoring tool. Leadhoot searches X for your phrases around the clock, scores each post for buyer intent and emails or Slacks you the ones worth answering.
