Lead Scoring Threshold Calculator
What this tells you
A scoring threshold trades false alarms against missed leads. Set it low and the channel gets noisy and eventually muted; set it high and good leads never reach you. This estimates alerts per day and missed leads per month at your chosen cutoff so the decision is arithmetic rather than instinct.

At those numbers
- Alerts per day

- Real leads caught / month
- 100.8
- Real leads missed / month
- 43.2
- Value of the misses / month
- $10,800
This is arithmetic on the numbers you entered, nothing here is a forecast or a promise about results.
The formula
alerts = posts above threshold · missed = qualifying posts below threshold · precision = true leads ÷ alerts
How to read the result
- More than about ten alerts a day and most people stop reading them, which makes the effective recall zero regardless of the setting.
- If missed leads matter more than noise, high deal values, few competitors, lower the threshold and accept the volume.
- Review the setting monthly. Subreddit activity changes and a threshold set in a quiet month floods you in a busy one.
- Optimise for the number of alerts you will still open in month three. A threshold that is technically better and gets muted catches nothing at all.
