Reddit Shadowban Checker: Am I Shadowbanned?
What this tells you
Enter a username to see whether other people can see that Reddit profile. If it shows up, the account is not shadowbanned site-wide. If Reddit says the account does not exist but you can still log into it, it is shadowbanned. Suspended accounts are flagged separately.

The formula
the profile is read logged out, the way strangers see it · visible profile = not shadowbanned · profile marked suspended = suspended · no profile = shadowbanned, or the name does not exist
How to read the result
- A site-wide shadowban hides your profile, posts and comments from everyone but you. You can still post, which is why most people only notice when nothing gets replies.
- A visible profile can still have posts removed inside one subreddit by automod or the spam filter. Open the post in a private window: if it is missing there, that subreddit removed it, which is not a shadowban.
- New accounts posting links, or several accounts posting the same link, are the most common reasons for a shadowban. Appeal at reddit.com/appeal and stop posting links until it is lifted.
Frequently asked questions
Open your profile in a private or logged-out window, or enter your username above. If Reddit says the page does not exist while you can still log in, your account is shadowbanned.
A suspension is visible: your profile says the account is suspended and you cannot post. A shadowban is silent: you can post and comment, but nobody else sees any of it.
Usually a subreddit removed them: automod rules on karma or account age, the spam filter, or a moderator. Check the subreddit's rules and message its moderators. That only affects that subreddit.
Submit an appeal at reddit.com/appeal, explain what you were posting, and stop posting links while you wait. There is no way to lift a shadowban yourself.
Yes. The check reads the public profile, so it works for any username. It cannot tell a shadowbanned account apart from a name that was never registered; only the owner can, by logging in.
