What this tells you
Type Reddit Markdown on the left and see how it renders on the right, then copy it into Reddit's editor with Markdown mode on. Bold is **two asterisks**, italics *one*, strikethrough ~~two tildes~~, spoilers >!like this!<, and a blank line starts a new paragraph.

How to read the result
- A single line break does nothing on Reddit. Leave a blank line between paragraphs.
- Long posts get read when they are scannable: a bold first line, short paragraphs, and a list for steps.
- Spoiler tags and superscript only render in Markdown mode or on the new Reddit editor, not in every third-party app.
Frequently asked questions
Switch the editor to Markdown mode, then use **bold**, *italic*, ~~strikethrough~~, > for quotes, * for bullets and [text](url) for links. Leave a blank line between paragraphs.
Indent every line by four spaces, or wrap it in triple backticks in the new editor. For inline code, wrap it in single backticks.
Wrap the text in >! and !<, for example >!the ending!<.
Reddit Markdown joins single line breaks into one paragraph. Use a blank line, or end the line with two spaces.
